  • Popis: Extended documentary about Turin that covers several decades, from the 1920s to the early 1950s, filmed by the Turinese photographer and amateur film maker Luis Bogino (1892 - 1960). The documentary displays: the hilly part of Turin (the Maddalena Hill with the Victory Lighthouse statue; the Villa della Regina overlooking the Alps; the small temple on the top of the Villa Genero Park) followed by a panoramic view of the city; the centre of Turin, from Porta Nuova railway station to the Palatine Towers, to Piazza Statuto, focusing on city parks and on the most important monuments and buildings. Very evocative are the aerial pictures of the Sacra di San Michele on Mount Pirchiriano and the Avigliana lakes, but also of the Basilica of Superga and the Palazzina di Caccia of Stupinigi. The video is a copy from the film print held by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema: 16mm, positive, acetate, 390 m, 35’ at 18 fps, black and white, silent.
